The Eclipse Season Closes

I wrote this a couple days ago, but am only just getting it posted. It's still very relevant. I hope it brings you something you need.

Yesterday brought with it the New Moon South Node Annular Solar Eclipse at 10° Libra. This was the closing eclipse of the A/W 2024 eclipse season. And what a season it has been!

The season opened with a Partial North Node Lunar Eclipse at 25° Pisces. We are in the transition from Aries/Libra eclipses to Virgo/Pisces eclipses. The themes are shifting, but, at the moment, we are experiencing an overlap between the old and new.

And that’s really what eclipses help us do, really: They help us evaluate and process the old in order to make space for the new. They help us to recalibrate and realign, bringing us closer to the road we came here to walk in the first place. (Of course, we are very good at creating detours and roadside distractions down here on this earthly plane.)

I am writing to you right now from my parents’ home in Kentucky. I am here because I am unsure how to safely return to my own home in Asheville, NC. You probably already know, but Hurricane Helene devastated Asheville [where I live]  and many of the surrounding areas (as well as many other areas of the American Southeast). If this isn’t a prime example of how eclipses can clear the boards, I don’t know what is.

As the dust begins to settle in the wake of this eclipse season, it can be helpful to gift yourself a little time and space to reflect on what occurred/is occurring for you. This can help you to gain a little wisdom and perspective on how the eclipse is asking (forcing?) you to realign. And have some grace … be patient with the process. The story may unfold slowly and steadily as we move further from the shadow of the closing eclipse. Don’t try to force it. Just let it come.

Wishing you all the safety and comfort as you find your feet again, friends. xoxo 💋
