Libra Full Moon: Express Yourself

The Libra Full Moon is coming to call this Saturday! La Luna reaches Her apex on 12 April, 2025, at 8:22p EDT at 23° Libra.

Libra Full Moon

Full Moons, as you may already know, are moments of completion. The work of the waxing half of the cycle has come to fruition, and something has been manifested as a result. This is a time to shine a light on whatever fruit was borne from your efforts. Take note of how you feel about what you’ve reaped. Celebrate your creation(s), and bask in the glow of a job well done. (Or, if you didn’t get what you hoped, bask in the glow of a job … done.)

Libra is a Cardinal Air sign. It’s initiatory and thoughtful. Libra is the energy of balance, collaboration, companionship, beauty and harmony, and charm. It’s ruled by Venus. When the Full Moon shines Her light in this sign, She can highlight where you might be out of balance, so be on the lookout for clues if you’ve been feeling a bit off lately.

This lunation very closely precedes Venus’ return to direct movement. She’s been retrograde since 1 March, and stations direct later on the 12th (at 9:02p EST). So there may be extra Venusian tension at this Full Moon. Feel all the feelings (Moon), then analyze what those feelings have to show you about what you manifested (Libra).

Libra Full Moon Sabian Symbol

The Sabian Symbol for this Libra Full Moon is A Third Wing On The Left Side Of A Butterfly. There are, of course, many ways this could be interpreted, but what comes through for me is the idea of a ‘free gift with purchase’ to help make elevation easier and more beautiful. Because the wing is on the left side of the butterfly, I feel like there’s more emphasis on feminine energies here: Allow yourself to be open, receptive, and nurturing … with yourself and the others in your life. This is the way to lift yourself up out of whatever situation you’re currently in. (And if you’re currently in a lovely situation, this is what will elevate you to the next, even better, level.)

Chiron, Wounded Healer and Wise Teacher, is tightly conjunct the Sun (and opposite the Moon) at this lunation. You may feel your triggers being activated. They may bring up some extra feelings. They may have you questioning your direction in life. However, there’s a Yod to the Moon, bolstered by Uranus and Saturn (and activating the entire late Pisces/early Aries stellium) that says your feelings, your inner responses to these triggers, are available to help you get closer to your divinity. Let your inner landscape and your intuitive guidance take the driver’s seat at this Full Moon. They will provide a new kind of stability, security, expression and equanimity for you.

There’s also a T-Square to Mars bridging the gap between the Moon and the Sun (and Chiron). This encourages you to get in there and take some action on that intuitive intel you received from La Luna. Being receptive is necessary in order to get your directions, but then you have to actually do something in order to follow those directions to  your destination.

With Black Moon Lilith still squaring Pluto, you’re still being pressured to look at where you’re hiding aspects of yourself from the world (aka: playing small) because you’ve been told those parts of you aren’t socially palatable. This aspect is nudging you flagrantly expose and even celebrate these parts of yourself in order to tap into your own unique brand of power and transformation. This can also help you to heal any rifts with your inner Shadows that have been keeping you grounded when you clearly want to fly.

With Jupiter supporting and amplifying the Moon’s magick, it should be easy to lean into your inner wisdom. Feel your feelings. Think your thoughts. Then express, openly, what you receive from all that processing. Share yourself fully … even the bits that others might find shocking, disgusting, or strange. You’ve got extra loving support at this lunation to rise above any initial reactions, allowing yourself to find power in the fullness of your expression, and allowing others some time to take in the view of the whole, glorious YOU that is now before them. When you embrace your own beautiful uniqueness, it’s likely your loved ones will, too. This is Libra Full Moon magick. Will you be brave enough to wield it?
