Last Quarter Moon in Virgo: Salvation

Friday brings the Last Quarter Moon 🌗 at 1° Virgo ♍ at 8:28p (EST). The Sabian Symbol for this Moon is A Large White Cross Dominates The Landscape

There’s a lot going on in the skies, friends. The Sun has just ushered in the season of Sagittarius. Pluto just made His ingress into Aquarius where he’ll stay for the next couple decades.. The Moon is freshly entered into Virgo, and Mars is still getting comfortable following a recent ingress into Leo. There’s a lot of new and fresh adaptation taking place in the stars.

Last Quarter Moon

There’s a Grand Trine suggesting some support for closing out the old and rebranding a new sense of identity and direction. A T-Square to the Moon further encouraging pivots toward what feels more closely aligned with what is Now. As well as a Yod to the Moon telling you it might be a bit of a bumpy transition. Adaptations and pivots will be required. They aren’t optional. Those who can step up and change when it’s called for will be rewarded handsomely. Those who fight may still get where they’re going, but it just might be a little more traumatic. Watch the omens. Let the Universe guide you. Trust the directions given, and be bold and brave enough to follow where they lead, and you’ll do just fine.

The White Cross, mentioned in the Sabian Symbol, above, can represent many things, but is most commonly associated with healing, aid and salvation. This echoes the energies of the aspect patterns mentioned above. If you’re able to meet the challenges presented and adjust your approach, your perspective, you are likely to find the salvation and support you need in order to move forward as a more integrated and whole being. Resist the process and you may find you are being tested, asked to make sacrifices in order to attain some unknown gift. This, of course, can be seen as a test of faith; faith that there is a higher purpose and that guidance and salvation will be given when it is needed.

Consider the Swiss Army knife. It bears the symbol of the White Cross. It is a tool that represents resourcefulness and adaptability. Lean into this spirit within yourself at this Last Quarter Moon.

WIth The Moon in a tight inconjunct with Pluto, you may experience wobbles as both energies are trying to establish their footing in their new signs. Your internal drives are switching to a more practical approach. Your relationship with all this transformation and shifts in power are changing; opening toward something new, unknown and more egalitarian. This pretty much always creates a fear-based fight for the ‘old ways’ since the new landscape is not yet visible. Confusion can arise when there seems to be no practical approach available,

Black Moon Lilith and Chiron are opposing each other. This could instigate some rowdy and raucous fits of rebellion spurred by deep wounds—personal and collective. Gird your loins.

Mercury opposing Jupiter in mutual reception invites you to ask big questions. It’s time to shift into data collection mode. Gather what intel you can and put it someplace safe to parse out later. Let your intuition guide you in the process. Curiosity and hunches are allies under this Moon.

With Cosmic Doer, Mars, opposing Pluto, you might feel antsy to DO SOMETHING about all this kinetic and shifting energy. But follow the advice of Tolkein’s Treebeard: Don’t be hasty. Or, if you prefer, Captain Jack Sparrow’s wisdom: Wait until the opportune moment! Again, this is the time to watch, listen, learn. The time to act will come, but you’d be wise to wait for a clearer picture to appear on the screen before making any moves.

This is also a time to tend to your needs. All that focus on the Moon, and the White Cross splayed out on the horizon … I mean, give yourself the respite from doing stuff to tend to what it is you need. This will allow you to sharpen the skill of your compass as you move toward that time to act. You’ll have a better understanding of what you actually want to move toward.

We are in uncharted waters, friends. That is plain. It’s how we choose to navigate these waters that will determine our fates. May the Force(s) be with us all. xoxo 💋
