Holistic esthetic rituals with Melanie focus on whole skin health and balancing any disturbances from within, so I don’t offer “anti-aging” or “acne-diminishing” or other services designed to target particular misalignments, symptoms or conditions. Instead I treat the skin where it is, at the time of your appointment, and that allows the skin itself to target its natural healing skills toward whatever imbalances may be showing up for you at the time of service.
I only use Dr. Alkaitis skincare products in my esthetics services. Dr. Alkaitis organic skincare products are adaptogenic. This means they help your skin naturally adapt to whatever it’s experiencing now. These holistic skincare rituals are, therefore, not designed to treat particular conditions, but, rather, the whole person. (Holistic, after all, means whole.)

THE SENSUAL RITUAL (75 minutes)
The Sensual Ritual is the foundational skincare offering by Melanie Hayes. In this service, you will receive something to awaken each of the 5 basic senses while treating your skin to unparalleled health and wellness.
Sight: Treat your eyes like the magickal tools they are. When the eyes are happy and healthy, the sense of sight optimizes. Modern lifestyles including hours of screen viewing, reading small print, straining to stay focused amidst stress and fatigue can leave our eyes weary and diminished. During the Sensual Ritual you will receive a luxurious eye treatment with Dr. Alkaitis Organic Eye Crème. You will be treated to gentle massage techniques to simultaneously tone and relax overused eye tissues. You will also experience the nourishing and cooling effects of herbal compresses over the eyes during periods of deep rest as you receive care and attention to other areas of your face and body.
Sound: Give your ears something delightful and soothing for a change. We hear enough negativity in our daily lives! In addition to the peaceful sounds of Nature and gentle relaxing music during your session, you will receive a thorough peri-aural massage sequence designed to help release bound connective tissues that can uncomfortably impact your inner ear functioning as well as contributing to jaw issues such as TMJ syndrome.
Taste: At the start of your ritual, you will be offered a delicious soothing herbal tisane to activate your sense of taste.
Smell: Nature offers many scents to arouse and/or soothe us. Dr. Alkaitis skincare products are made of raw living plants, and so have the most delicious subtle scents that will delight you without overwhelming.
Touch: Touch is present in every aspect of this ritual experience. From linens with soft cozy textures to luxuriously silky products to expert caring massage techniques. Your skin will feel deliciously and lovingly tended.
During this session your skin will be cleansed, toned, soothed, nourished, masked, massaged and moisturized. This deliciousness will extend beyond just your face, but to your neck and décolleté, as well. These are areas that can often show signs and symptoms of misalignment and diminished vitality. I use organic adaptogenic raw living plant-based products that will naturally restore the health and vivacity of these oft-neglected areas.
You will also be treated to highly skilled and deeply relaxing massage therapy to your extremities for additional relaxation. You will leave in a cloud of sensual rejuvenation and mental and physical calm.

THE RESTORATIVE RITUAL (90 minutes)
The Restorative Ritual is for those of you looking for education around how to achieve optimal skin health. This service is equally beneficial for those in their teens and early twenties who are just developing skincare regimens as well as more mature clients who are noticing adverse effects from ineffective skincare protocols.
We will begin this session with a discussion of your current (and past, if relevant) skincare regimen. We will look at ways you can transform your routine into one that more optimally supports your desired outcomes. We will also look at your current lifestyle habits and patterns to see how you may be unknowingly contributing to the deficient state of your skin’s health.
Once we know what your current situation is, we will then work together to create holistic opportunities for achieving more of the healthy and happy skin results you want, such as dietary adjustments, lifestyle and habit modifications and/or addressing psycho-emotional misalignments that may be affecting the state of your appearance. You will leave with a bespoke holistic home-care protocol designed to empower you with the knowledge and tools you need to improve the health of your skin.
Following this in-depth consultation you will receive a thorough facial treatment including cleansing, toning, soothing, nourishing, masking, moisturizing and massaging of your face, neck and décolleté. You will also enjoy the deeply relaxing benefits of massage therapy to your hands, arms, shoulders, neck and scalp.

THE BEAUTIFUL BACK RITUAL (60 minutes)
This ritual is to address the oft neglected skin of the back and shoulders. You will be in the prone position for the entirety of this session during which your back will be the star of the show.
Treatment includes thorough cleansing, exfoliating, toning, soothing, nourishing, masking and moisturizing. You will also experience a luxurious application of massage therapy techniques to release musculature tension and discomfort while easing you into ever deeper states of relaxation and bliss.

THE ADOLESCENT RITUAL (60 minutes)
This ritual is for tweens and teens who are just starting to deal with the challenging effects that modern lifestyles can have on the skin. This is a vulnerable time for many young people, and having healthy happy skin can go a long way to supporting a healthy and happy (and confident) life experience.
During this simplified ritual skin will be cleansed, toned, soothed, nourished, massaged and moisturized.
Clients will also be provided with an opportunity to ask candid questions about skincare with a therapist who is able to provide honest and experienced answers.

THE ULTIMATE RITUAL (120 minutes)
The Ultimate Ritual is for those of you who understand that you deserve to be fully pampered and nurtured in the most magickal and blissful ways. This session combines one hour of full body massage therapy with one hour of luxurious facial, neck and décolleté treatment.
This Ultimate experience will be initiated with your full body massage, and will be followed by a full facial treatment with opulent Dr. Alkaitis Organic Skincare products. Facial cupping or gua sha will also be administered for an added bit of luxe.
You will be awash in dopamine and serotonin and other deeply relaxing and mood-enhancing chemicals supplied by the body when it’s truly aligned and in a state of bliss.
Enjoy some herbal tea post-session to help ground you back into your body before returning to the world outside.

THE ULTIMATE PLUS RITUAL (150 minutes)
The Ultimate Plus Ritual takes The Ultimate Ritual one step further into the realm of luxury and decadence. This session combines 30 minutes of blissful back treatment, one hour of full body massage therapy, and one hour of luxurious facial, neck and décolleté treatment.
This Ultimate Plus experience will be initiated with your back treatment, during which your entire back will be cleansed, exfoliated, toned, soothed, nourished and moisturized. Next is a full body massage to release muscular tension and diminish any soft tissue pain and discomfort. This is followed by a full facial treatment with opulent Dr. Alkaitis Organic Skincare products. Facial cupping and gua sha will also be administered for an added bit of luxe.

BROW SHAPING (30 minutes)
We will consult about your ideal brow shape based on your preferences, your bone structure and your hair growth patterns. Then your brows will be trimmed and tweezed into shape and the skin around your brows and eyes will be toned and moisturized.

BROW MAINTENANCE (15 minutes)
Brows will be trimmed and tweezed of errant hairs to maintain your optimum brow shape. The skin around your brows and eyes will be toned and moisturized.
